What Makes A Golf Training Book Effective

A golf training book needs to be ‘user-friendly’ and ‘plug-and-play’. What I mean by that is a golfer should be able to have a clear idea on what he should do immediately to improve his/her game. And it should be easy to apply. No figuring out what to do next. No sense of confusion or frustration at information overload.

Haven’t you purchased a book (not necessarily a golf training book) before; got excited to dive and; and then in a short period of time felt overwhelmed?

I know I have!

It’s not a good feeling and can leave you even more frustrated than before you purchased it.

I have even seen golf training books that have been thrown together by several “so-called” experts and by the time you’re finished you don’t know where to begin. That’s not to say the information wasn’t credible, but isn’t the whole purpose of reading a book having the

Achieving The Perfect Golf Swing Drill

The perfect golf swing drill is a joy to behold. And yet it is not too hard to achieve.

The perfect golf swing drill starts with a proper back swing with the golf club swung right back to the limit of your body. At this segment of the perfect golf swing drill your mind should be preparing for the rotation of your body and the arm extension.

Next, the movements of the perfect golf swing drill moves to the down swing, which starts with the lower part of the body, including the legs and hips. A transfer of weight will take place from back to front with the knees, thighs and hips all moving forward.

The perfect golf swing drill ends with the body weight on the outside of the front heel and the inside of the rear foot.

Perfect golf swing drill is easy when your body is prepared and conditioned to achieve

Hit Longer Drives - Here’s How

To hit longer drives is the dream of every golfer on the planet! Even the professionals players want to hit longer drives. Is there a magic bullet? Do you really know what it takes to dramatically improve your driving distance?

I’ll bet your first answer will be a new driver at $500. Am I right? If not a drivertake more golf lessons. Am I getting warmer yet? If I still haven’t guessed righthit more balls at the range? Am I scorching hot yet?

The key to hit longer drives is clubhead speed and solid ball-clubface contact. That’s it! Seems easy enough right?

Not!

The ONLY way to improve clubhead speed is to have optimal strength and flexibility in your core region. This is the area of your body that creates the torque on the backswing that is unleashed at impact.

How many times have you tried to swing hard and the ball didn’t go anywhere?

How A Golf Fitness Book Can Transform Your Game

A golf fitness book that is written to give you ready-made golf fitness programs, exercises, step-by-step instructions and illustrations can quickly transform your golf game.

There are so many “so-called” golf fitness books on the market; but when you open them up you see dozens of pictures of golf models sitting on exercise machines in the gym.

This is NOT a golf fitness book, this is a book pertaining to “general” fitness, but with the title revised to catch the golfers eye. In my mind, this is a little deceptive and can frustrate the consumer.

When I was doing research for my golf fitness book (manual) I was extremely disappointed. Having been a certified fitness professional for over 20 years and specifically working with golfers the last 10 years I was expecting some good body’s of knowledge on the subject.

I was extremely let down and even felt like I wasted my money getting

Samurai - The Honourable & The Treacherous

The Japanese Samurai were warriors. Highly trained, skilled and efficient killers. Indeed, for many years the Samurai were the law of the land, a class of citizens above all except their Daimyo and the imperial Shogun. The samurai inhabited and roamed a land which was governed by the sword, and the samurai were masters of the sword.

Samurai are generally written about and thought of as an honorable, humble class of people which upheld an extremely rigid and almost impossible-to-imagine or mythical-like set of rules, code of conduct and belief system and would give his life rather than break Bushido (Way of the Warrior - the Samurai’s belief system). This is half true, for many samurai were this honorable warrior most of us hear about. But not all of them were this way. Many Ronin samurai (Masterless) were merely amoral crooks which used their deadly skills for wrongdoing and lining their

The Perfect Golf Swing Is Within Your Reach

The perfect golf swing IS achievable for any senior golfer!

Actually we have noted in our ongoing programs, a dramatic change in the quality of the games of senior golfers many of whom are achieving the perfect golf swing at their ages and despite relative inexperience on the golf course. Not only that, they are hitting the ball as long as their PGA counterparts. And we are talking about both male and female players.

So how do they do it?

The answer is so simple that it may be a little difficult to believe at first. Actually it is the result of a simple combination of personal coaching on swing mechanics and getting stronger. They do not get stronger as a result of arduous weight training using heavy weights designed to give bulky muscles.

Rather the training ideas have even been described as “enjoyable” by some and the program even involves simple exercises that

Backpacking Clothes - Making Your Own

Okay, do you really want to make all your own backpacking clothes? More power to you, and good luck. After the first hundred tedious hours of sewing I started buying gear again. However, there are SOME backpacking clothes you can make cheaply and quickly. A few examples follow.

Making Your Own Ski Mask

Find any old thermal underwear top or bottom, preferably made of polypropylene. Cut off a sleeve or leg, pull it over your head, and mark where your eyes and mouth are with a pen or marker. Cut the holes and cut off the extra. You just made a balaclava.

My homemade balaclava weighs less than an ounce. Sew the top shut if you want, or just pin it shut with a safety pin. Making your own backpacking clothes doesn’t get much simpler than this.

Hand Warmers

Put your hands inside a pair of light socks and mark where your fingertips are. Cut

How To Use Exercise For Golf To Strengthen Your Swing

Using exercise for golf to strengthen your swing could be one of the wisest decisions you’ve ever make in regards to improving power and distance.

Have you tried those gimmicky training aids in hopes to strengthen your swing? If so, were you successful? I can take a guess, but I won’t get on you too much.

Most of the touring pros are now using exercise for golf to strengthen their swing and have seen their driving distance go way up. And yestheir equipment has a little bit to do with it, but can’t take all the credit.

I have said thousands of times, “it’s your BODY that plays the game, not your equipment”. Doesn’t that make sense to you?

Like any athletehe or she spends a huge amount of time strengthening their muscles specific to their sport.

Why wouldn’t you as a golfer do the same thing?

Hopefully after reading this article you’ll give it strong

Online Golf Lessons Save Time And Can Be A Great Help

Online golf lessons have grown tremendously in popularity, for the simple reason that they address a problem faced by most golfers. The problem is that of finding the time away from their golf game to take golf lessons.

Not everybody is a professional with all the time between tourneys to brush up on their skills. Most golfers are amateurs who have to take care of business elsewhere in-between their precious moments on the course. Online golf lessons have proved to be the ideal answer.

One of the positive results of online golf lessons is that they have inspired many a golfer to take positive and deliberate steps to improve their game. One of the key advantages that the online golf lesson has going for it is that it is easy to use visuals and diagrams to illustrate and clearly explain many key points.

For example posture in the setup stage before the golf

Taking A Golf Lesson Isn’t Always The Answer

Golfers will do anything they can in hopes to play better golf and hit the LONG ball. Am I right? Are you in this category? If so, I’m quite confident to say you’ve taken a golf lesson or two. Golf lessons can be very effective in getting you back on track, if your swing has gone south. But, not always.

How many times have you taken a golf lesson, only to be more frustrated and hitting the ball worse than before that golf lesson? Do you know why this happens? It can be many different reasons, such as too many swing thoughts; making drastic changes that require hours at the range and hitting thousands of balls; or lastly, your body just can’t effectively move in the way it needs to, to make a mechanically correct golf swing.

I’m inclined to say that for the majority of golfers, especially the older golfer, it’s
